The print edition of the anthology (Askild & Kärnekull, 1973, ISBN 91-7008-141-7; new edition by Sam J. Lundwall Fakta & Fantasi, 1993, ISBN 91-7992-048-9), was the first Lovecraft collection published in Swedish (although one or two short stories had previously been published in horror anthologies) and contains the short stories Lundwall thought were the best or the most representative. The audiobook is slightly abridged: two stories (De Andra Gudarna (The Other Gods) and Nyarlathotep) are missing, and the remaining nine stories are sometimes slightly edited for running time.
